POSITION TYPE: FULL-TIME EXEMPT

LOCATION: REMOTE

The Director - SOC Practice Lead is a key member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining key operational processes to achieve Firm strategies and goals. The Practice Lead-SOC will work closely with the Delivery teams to ensure the Firm’s success through the development and tracking of key measurements. He/She will ensure the well-being of the Firm by working closely with the EVP of Security Risk and Compliance to ensure departments are communicating and operating as efficiently as possible.   

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position will directly supervise and mentor members within the department and Firm.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the firm’s SOC delivery function including establishing and maintaining KPIs, maintaining utilization goals, and updating processes to increase team efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Participate in sales calls as the SOC subject matter expert and assist in formulating quotes, statement of work, pricing and timelines 
  • Mentor the SOC team members to ensure they have the appropriate tools, training, and knowledge to be successful (Prior experience working in a SOC team lead capacity required)
  • Craft and use metrics to measure the performance of SOC services to drive improvements 
  • Update and maintain process and methodology documentation 
  • Stay current on changes in SOC practices, and attest standards

 REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION

  • CPA, must be current
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required. Master’s Degree in a business discipline preferred
  • 10+ years of Audit experience, preferably with a professional services firm
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership position including managing a team
  • 4 - 6 years of experience performing and managing SOC 1, SOC 2, and attestation services 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:  

  • Ability to manage a team and successfully achieve goals in a virtual environment 
  • Working knowledge of project management tools is required. Knowledge of Smartsheet application preferred 
  • Demonstrated performance in developing new services and process improvement related to Firm services 
  • Ability to write and create effective presentations, processes, measurements, and training materials 
  • Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required 
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's software systems 
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives in a rapidly changing environment  
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and ability to communicate with the team and complete projects in an efficient and timely manner

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional virtual remote work environment. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to stand and sit for prolonged periods. Specific vision abilities required include close and medium-distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear normal sounds, distinguish sound as voice, and communicate through human speech. This position requires the ability to routinely operate a keyboard, computer mouse, telephone, fax, scanner, copier, writing tools, scissors, and other standard office equipment. On occasion, an employee will be asked to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.

 

TRAVEL

Occasional/minimal travel is expected for this position.
