Technical Writer

The Opportunity

The Technical Writer provides operational services to the Delivery Department by producing high-quality, client-facing reports that comply with regulatory standards and firm methodologies. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams and subject-matter experts to ensure client-facing documentation is accurate, clear, and aligned with industry and company standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Develop clear, concise, and logically organized content to maximize reader comprehension.
  • Collaborate with subject-matter experts to accurately translate technical concepts into client-facing deliverables.
  • Analyze and develop content for SOC system descriptions, policies, procedures, and related documentation.
  • Draft SOC reports and other client deliverables to meet regulatory and internal quality requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, clear, and aligned with audience expectations and compliance standards.
  • Review, edit, and proofread materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to applicable standards.
  • Ensure all assigned deliverables are completed on time and within budgeted hours.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
  • Work independently while adhering to Firm methodologies and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Manage project timelines and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain and update report dashboards and other tracking tools as needed.
  • Deliver client-facing documentation with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Maintain technical proficiency to support the creation of effective and compliant documentation.
  • Cross-train in other support areas and serve as a backup when needed.
  • Contribute to team and company-wide initiatives for continuous improvement of processes and service offerings.
  • Be available for occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and grammatical skills
  • Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's software systems
  • Strong project management, time management, analytical, interpersonal, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Professional interpersonal skills with a dedication to superior client service
  • Ability to build effective internal and client relationships with a positive and cooperative attitude
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Required Education, Experience, & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. Relevant experience of a minimum of 5 years is required in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
