We’re looking for a Director of Human Resources to help us scale with intention. This isn’t just about compliance or managing policies (though you'll lead that, too). It's about shaping a workplace where top talent wants to stay, grow, and do their best work, wherever they are.

What you will do


The HR Director will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership while building and executing scalable people programs that align with our business goals.  This role will require deep expertise in HR best practices, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to foster connectivity in a distributed workforce.  
You will also lead:
  • Culture & Connection: You’ll be the champion of our remote culture by building programs, rituals, and initiatives that connect people across borders.
  • Talent Programs: Own our performance management, feedback, onboarding, and training systems so our team can thrive.
  • People Strategy: Partner with senior leaders to align business goals with talent strategies. You’ll be a coach, a problem-solver, and a thought partner.
  • Employee Experience: Build scalable processes that make every stage of the employee journey—from hiring to exit—seamless, human, and effective.
  • Remote Leadership: Guide managers on leading distributed teams, improving engagement, and developing their people in a fully virtual setting.
  • Scalable HR Infrastructure: Streamline systems, policies, and tools in partnership with our PEO and outsourcing partners.

What you will bring to the table:

  • You’ve led HR for remote-first or fully distributed organizations and understand what it takes to create a strong virtual culture.
  • You bring 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with 4+ years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • You're experienced across the full talent lifecycle—from performance management and recruiting to comp/benefits and organizational design.
  • You love building systems, solving people challenges, and aligning HR with business strategy.
  • You’re comfortable with a bit of chaos and a lot of collaboration, and you don’t wait to be told what to do.

Bonus Points

  • You’ve supported teams across U.S. and Canada (or beyond) and understand the compliance landscape.
  • You’ve worked through M&A integration and know how to balance empathy with efficiency.
  • SHRM-SCP or similar certification is a plus.

•    100% remote—work from anywhere in the U.S. 
•    Occasional travel (~10%) for team meetups or key events.
