We’re seeking a true business development professional - a hunter who excels at opening doors, creating new opportunities, and driving net-new revenue in one of the most critical industries today.
As a Business Development Director, you will own the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and executive outreach to solution development and deal closure. You’ll help organizations address their most pressing cybersecurity and compliance challenges while contributing directly to CyberGuard Advantage’s continued growth.
This role is ideal for a motivated, consultative seller who consistently exceeds goals, thrives in a high-impact environment, and is energized by building new relationships and winning new business.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations software systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive Net-New Revenue: Consistently meet and exceed customer acquisition and sales targets.
- Own the Full Sales Cycle: Lead all stages of the sales process, from lead generation to close, in close partnership with service delivery and subject-matter experts.
- Build Executive Relationships: Establish and nurture C-suite and senior-level connections, positioning CyberGuard Advantage as a trusted advisor.
- Strategic Account Planning: Develop targeted account strategies aligned with market trends and organizational needs.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with the CRO, technical SMEs, and alliance partners to shape compelling, tailored solutions.
- Market Presence: Represent CyberGuard Advantage at industry events, conferences, and networking activities to elevate brand visibility.
- Share Market Intelligence: Provide client and market insights to inform strategic decisions and continuously refine our go-to-market approach.
- Travel: 10-20% as needed
What You Bring:
- Proven Performance: 5+ years of consultative, solution-focused sales experience with a strong history of exceeding quotas. (Experience in cybersecurity, compliance, or professional services is strongly preferred.
- Subject Matter Knowledge: General knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks such as SOC (System and Organization Controls), ISO (International Organization for Standardization), PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), and/or HITRUST CSF are highly desired
- Hunter Mentality: Skilled in prospecting, pipeline creation, and managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Sales Technology Proficiency: Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern sales enablement tools.
- Exceptional Communication: Strong presentation, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
