SOC Practice Lead
Al Tanju is the SOC Practice Leader at CyberGuard Advantage, where he leads the firm’s assurance practice and oversees strategy, technical standards, quality, and execution across complex assurance engagements. He directs SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3, HIPAA, and HITRUST engagements for organizations operating in highly regulated and high-growth environments, with a focus on defensible reporting, predictable delivery, and scalable operating models that reduce audit friction and support business growth.
With more than 17 years of experience across assurance, cybersecurity, and risk advisory, Al brings a rare blend of CPA audit rigor and deep technical security expertise. He is frequently relied upon to resolve complex judgment matters involving scope, control design, and reporting positions, and has led engagements across technology, healthcare, financial services, payments, manufacturing, and professional services. Previously, Al served as Director of Cybersecurity Advisory Services at Windham Brannon and earlier worked in public accounting and software development. He is an AICPA Peer Review SOC Specialist, a member of the AICPA Alternative Practice Structure Task Force, and holds CPA, CISA, CISM, and CISSP credentials, along with a B.S. in Management from Georgia Tech.
